Urban Integrated Health Services, Inc, is a nonprofit DC organization that delivers a specialized forensic ACT Team in the district of Columbia working in partnership with the D.C. Department Of Behavioral Health, CSOSA And MORCA
Consumers with serious and persistent mental health concerns, dually diagnosed with substance use disorder issues, medical conditions, homelessness, trauma and any other concerns and struggles. The preference of referrals will target consumers that are being released from prison and local jails including D.C., and other area detention facilities. The ACT team will serve hundreds consumers.
We hire the traditional compliment of Assertive Community Treatment per the district of Columbia MHRS standards including a team leader/clinical manager, psychiatrist or prescriber, a registered nurse, substance abuse specialist, vocational or supported employment counselor, peer specialist and other rehabilitative counselors. Because of the nature of the population to be served, experience in criminal justice settings is required for more than half the staff.
